Gloria Estefan introduces the song "El Ultimo Adios (The Last Goodbye)"
Mr. President, Mrs. Bush, we come before you representing the spirit of over 35 million Hispanic Americans here in the United States.
We come from over a dozen Hispanic cultures. We recorded this song in over a half a dozen countries featuring over 100 artists. We sing in many voices, speak in many languages, but come together on this special day of remembrance to speak in one voice with one message.
That message is that we stand with you, and all Americans, Mr. President as we defend our way of life the very freedoms upon which this nation was founded-- the American dream, el Suen Americano.
No matter what language you say it en íngles o en español we are behind you Mr. President under your leadership along with all our fellow Americans in the battle ahead we will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail.
This song Mr. President is dedicated to all our fellow countrymen who were lost on September 11th and to the American spirit which continues to burn brightly.
The title is "El Ultimo Adios (The Last Goodbye)".
